Things have moved on over the years since we first introduced our ‘standard’ PDQPB handlebars. Over that period of time, we have sold MANY hundreds, if not thousands, of sets of various different incarnations.
Instead of upgrading, you can now get your hands on a fully loaded, most up to date and (virtually) infinitely adjustable set with one simple click of the button.
This is what you’ll get for your money.
A superlight full carbon base bar with slots to allow internal brake cabling. If you are using a stem which also provides for internal cable routing, these base bars have another slot hidden in the clamping area to allow the cables to exit straight into your stem.
One pair of full carbon aero extensions complete with slots at the gear-lever end to allow internal cabling, 2 pairs of bungs (one pair for each end of the extensions ... not shown in photo). i) The first to close off the far end if bar end gear levers are not being used. ii) The second to allow gear cabling to exit at the stem end of the extensions.
3 x 20 and 1 x 10 mm risers (each side).
Pukka DJ adjustable clamps which allow both the extensions and rests to be tilted upwards at any angle anywhere between 0 and 15 degrees. Meeting UCI regulations will be a breeze.
New PDQ Slalom rests and pads (pads not shown in photo) which allow you to stay in the position YOU dictate. These full carbon rests have deep sides to prevent elbows slipping / sliding from the required position. The rests themselves have fixing holes which allow 3 different fore and aft positions (1.25 cms each increment … so a max of 4.25 cms fore and aft). Clamps can be positioned so that the two rests are very almost touching (see main photo), bringing the elbows extremely close together and by so doing, achieve the narrowest position possible). The outside edges of the rests in this position are just 17.5 cms apart.
Repositioning the clamps (by swapping them over left to right and right to left), the rests become spaced further apart. The abundance of fixing holes allows further adjustability so that the outside edges of the rests using this clamp configuration can be positioned anywhere between 24 and 32 cms apart.
